Research on DTL tuning is an important part of accelerator to achieve its physical design.Article reverses principles of how the post couplers make DTL Electric field stable in detail by equivalent circuit analysis method and a dispersion curve analysis;meanwhile it points out how the frequency will affect the Electric field so that rotating the post coupler will change the Electric field distribution.What is more,it is innovative to use equivalent circuit considering mutual to explain the change of tilt sensitivity.As the current can represent the E field,the resistant changing as post couplers length change can explain the regular of Tilt sensitivity change with post couplers' length.By building a platform of a high reproducibility on the model DTL by improving the measure band width,input energy,and some other ways.The DTL model has been improved by using CST to make it near to the design.It has been discussed that the simulation itself will induce a error about only 0.01 MHz.the error between model and real will introduce the main error,after checking model,it E-field error for every cell is about 0.5%By tuning the DTL.It check the method and regular of tuning.Using the tuner to adjust the E-field distribution and frequency.Then put the post couplers in.adjust the length to adjust the stability and rotate post couplers to adjust the E-field.The error of E-field for every cell is less than 0.5%,the TS is less than 0.25% with 0.15 MHz perturbation.With the tuners and post couplers,both the Electric field and the stability can be achieved.
