Cylindrical roller bearings are used for high-speed,heavy-duty applications.The fault location will cause a greater instantaneous impact if the bearings appear peeling,cracks and other local failure.It has a serious impact on the stability of the host operation and production safety.Therefore,timely identification of bearing early failure has a great significance to ensure the safe operation of mechanical systems and avoid the occurrence of major accidents.At present,the research on the fault diagnosis technology of rolling bearing mainly focuses on the ball bearing while the cylindrical roller bearing is less.The early fault diagnosis of cylindrical roller bearings is mainly focused on the establishment of fault analysis model and simulation analysis of fault characteristics.Because of the structure and operating conditions,cylindrical roller bearings early fault vibration signal is a quasi-periodic signal,a cycle of less vibration,and vibration signal to noise ratio is low.Relative to the ball bearings,cylindrical roller bearings has a low sensitivity for the defect because of the line contact,so in the same fault size cylindrical roller bearings is more difficult to detect than the ball bearings.In this paper,two kinds of fault diagnosis methods are proposed for fault diagnosis of cylindrical roller bearings: One is based on HVD(Hilbert Vibration Decomposition)decomposition noise reduction and multi-band local optimal band superposition.Another is based on kurtosis curve and spectrum superposition.The main contents and conclusions are as follows:1.For the characteristics of multiple resonance peaks in the frequency domain when the bearing fails,the vibration signal of the bearing is divided into frequency bands,and the local optimum frequency bands are extracted and the spectrum is superimposed to form a column based on HVD noise reduction and multi-band spectrum superposition fault diagnosis method of roller bearing.2.The vibration test of the cylindrical roller bearing is carried out.The 3mm pits are processed on different parts of cylindrical roller bearings to simulate the bearings with large faults.The fault characteristics of different fault types are extracted by performing vibration analysis of the bearing with different faults.Then 0.4mm pits are processed on the cylindrical roller bearings to simulate the early failure of the bearing.The vibration signal with early fault bearing is treated by the method proposed in the paper,the fault characteristics of the cylindrical roller bearing are successfullyextracted.And compared with the fast kurtosis algorithm to verify the superiority of the proposed method.3.A cylindrical roller bearing fault diagnosis system was build,According to the cylindrical roller bearing fault characteristics to complete the cylindrical roller bearing fault type automatic judgment.
