Since the economy in China is growing rapidly,as well as the population in many cities,transportation applied in many China`s cities cannot meet the demands gradually.Therefore,city metro system is applied in many cities in China in order to adapt the economy which is growing so fast and the city population which is becoming bigger and bigger.Meanwhile,many problems show up when metro system is extensively applied in some cities,and for example,metro system accidents.And among these metro system accidents which have some many categories,the fire hazard in metro system is accused of causing the biggest losses of properties and casualties.Many engineers and researchers are dedicating in researches of preventing big losses caused by metro system fire hazard,and among these researches,metro station fire takes an important part since the high density of people in station and the difficulty of evacuation.This paper is based on project “Research on smoke extraction and fire prevention under fire scenario in urban rail transit under ground station”.By conducting full-scale experiment and computational fluid dynamics simulation,smoke extraction and fire prevention methods under circumstances which the heat release rate is fixed and the location of fire source is variable are discussed.One method which use the station tunnel heat extraction system to extract the platform fire smoke is proposed,and smoke flowing situation under different smoke extraction methods are discussed.The main content of this paper is:Summarize basic theories of metro station fire,elaborate the proceed of fire hazard and the most important parameter – heat release rate,and the calculation method of fire smoke volume.The regular pattern of fire smoke flowing and temperature distribution are also introduced,and on the basis of it,the different smoke control methods using in metro station are also introduced.Conduct fire dynamics simulation and compare the result with data from a metro station full-scale experiment,in order to prove the model of fire dynamic simulation is accurate and reasonable.Conduct researches on smoke control methods in metro station platform.By studying circumstances which the heat release rate is fixed and the location of fire source is variable at three points,using five different smoke control methods,summarize the regular pattern of smoke flow and find a best smoke control method.
