The single column pier curved girder bridge is widely used both at home and abroad with beautiful linear and simple structure.In recent years,single column piers curve beam bridge overdue accidents frequently occur because of vehicle overload.Therefore,the anti-overturning safety assessment and design has become a research hotspot.Based on the actual engineering of the single column pier curved girder bridge of a highway in Guangdong Province,the finite element model of the bridge was established by using Midas / Civil software.Respectively,using the stability coefficient method and bearing reaction method for lateral anti-overturning safety assessment.The results show that the anti-overturning stability coefficient of the bridge is 1.76 by stability coefficient method,and the anti-overturning stability coefficient of the bridge is 2.04 by bearing counterforce method.The anti-overturning stability coefficient calculated by the two methods does not meet the requirement(more than 2.5).However,the stability coefficient method is more accurate and can reflect the actual process of the overturning of the bridge,but also has the problem.The paper further studies the pre-eccentricity of the bridge and the optimal pre-eccentricity of the bridge is 11 cm.The pre-eccentric setting of the bearings can improve the anti-overturning stability of the curved beam bridge to a certain extent.Finally,the author puts forward a reinforcement scheme for the addition of steel structure girders and bearings,through comparative analysis,the anti-overturning safety assessment of the scheme is 3.5,which is greater than the 2.5 limit of the specification requirement,and after the reinforcement of the bearing will not appear voiding phenomenon.Indicating that the program can be a good reinforcement effect,to ensure the safety of the bridge,for reference.
