The foamed asphalt construction technology has become the main technology in the large-scale road maintenance.Foam asphalt mix equipment is the equipment that is matched with the Asphalt Foamer,and localization of Foamed asphalt mix equipment oriented to lab is not achieved.The structure design and optimization of foam asphalt mix equipment are studied in this paper.Mixing technology of foam asphalt mix is deeply analyzed.Mixing uniformity and efficiency are regarded as design goal.Discrete element method is utilized to analyze motion law and mechanical properties of mix particle in the process of sliding,rubbing,and crashing.In order to obtain uniformity dispersion coefficient and load spectrum of foamed asphalt mix equipment under working condition,EDEM software is used to analyze mixing behavior of Foamed asphalt mix and arrangement form of particles flowing of mixing parts.(1)In order to obtain load spectrum of foamed asphalt mix under working condition,discrete element method is utilized to establish the mathematical model of mixing behavior,which contains particle model,particle shape model and particle contact model.By analyzing uniformity dispersion coefficient of particles and movement vector graph of particle,arrangement form of particles flowing of mixing parts is evaluated,which solves forces between mixer and particles at different moment.(2)Structure of key parts of foamed asphalt mix equipment is optimized.Tiny equivalent stress and total deformation of mixing parts are taken as optimization goals and key sizes of that are served as design variables to optimize the structure of mixing parts.Through the response surface analysis and optimization,the design parameters of mixing parts can be obtained as: the diameter of stirring shaft is 36 mm,the length of mixing arm is58 mm,the diameter of mixing arm is 23 mm and the thickness of mixing blade is11 mm.The lower mass and tiny total deformation of mixing drum are taken as optimization goals and wall height and wall thickness are served as design variables to optimize the wall height and wall thickness.Through the response surface analysis and optimization,the height of drum wall is 163 mm and the thickness of that is 6mm.(3)The strength of foamed asphalt mix equipment is checked after optimization.The mixing parts are taken as research object to solve equivalent stress and total deformation of that,in which bearings is assumed to be the rigid-body.When the bearing service life is calculated,mixing parts are assumed to be the rigid-body.When equivalent stress and total deformation of mixing drum are calculated,bearings end covers are constraint.The results showed that the strength of mixing parts,mixing bucket and bearings meets design requirements.The paper lays the theoretic foundation for development of foam asphalt mix equipment.
