With the development of seismic technology and theory of buildings,the seismic test technology of structures is of vital importance.More and more complicated modern structures,new seismic design theory andconfiguration,and the emergence of seismic isolation,energy dissipation and vibration mitigation technology,pose new challenges to the seismic test technology.Real-time Hybrid Testing(RHT)is,to some extent,able to validate the tests of full-scalestructure and rate-related specimens,which was developed from pseudo-dynamic testing method.It has been developing rapidly since proposed in 1992.Delay and its compensation are key problems for Real-time Hybrid Testing(RHT).Conventional compensation methods are mostly based on constant delay assumption.However,system delay changes during tests due to system nonlinearity and performance change of the specimen,which results in undesirable testing results.This dissertation proposes adaptive delay compensation method based on online model parameter identification for RHT.The proposed method uses discrete models to simulate the servo loading system,online parameter identification to attain the loading system state;then the system delay is compensated based on this model.The main research of this dissertationare as follows:(1)The adaptive delay compensation method is presented,which is based on the method of online parameter identification of the discrete loading system model and selftuning control.This dissertation uses numerical simulation to evaluate the compensation performance of the method for RHT with relative larger sampling interval.At the same time,in view of the parameter amount of the discrete model as a key factor for the effect of delay compensation,this dissertation analyzes its influence to the effect of delay compensation in different cases.(2)The reasons for the worse result of adaptive delay compensationmethod with a relative shorter sampling interval are analyzed and the corresponding improvement measures are put forward,which should widen the application potential of the proposed method..Also,this dissertation validates the compensation effect of improved adaptive delay compensation for different discrete models in various cases.The feasibility is also verified;(3)This dissertation constructs an experiment platform for RHT using adaptive delay compensation method based on MTS and dSPACE.The complex testing process using the delay compensation method is normalized.In order to validate the compensation strategy,a real RHT with a steel column as specimen was carried out.
