For seismic activity,improving building aseismic levels and strengthening the structure seismic performance is the urgent demand of social economic development.According the main ways to improve seismic performance of structure,the buckling-restrained brace develops rapidly in recent years,and is used in some practical engineerings.Due to the fact that types of buckling-restrained brace are variable and the study is in active stage,the paper does the seismic performance research of a new perforated buckling-restrained brace with in-line steel plate core.In order to find main factors of the buckling-restrained brace,firstly the paper do the theoretical analysis about the characteristics of the form of buckling-restrained brace.It is concluded that the calculation formula of the equivalent stiffness,the minimal claerance value,the stability condition of the constrained tube,the number and stability condition of the connection of core plate and equivalent slenderness ratio.Then,according to the deduced formula and instability factors presented above,paper concludes seven impact factors of the buckling-restrained brace including cross-section weaken degree φ,length weaken degree φl,hole-length slenderness ratio λ1,hole-spacing slenderness ratio between hole λ2,gross section slenderness ratio λx,width-thickness ratio b/t,gap-width ratio δ/t.For the seismic performance research of buckling-restrained brace,the paper simulates the uniaxial compression and hysteretic performance of variable parameters by ABAQUS finite element simulation.Concluded from the simulation data and nephogram of the stress and deformation,the data can be compared and analyzed.Then,the seven factors of the optimal value(or optimal range)are obtained.These provide suggestions to the design of buckling-restrained brace.
