About civil engineering soil structure,it is important to eliminate the water in the soil and thus reduce the harm.But,because the matrix suction is difficult to discharge free water in fine soil,it is a tcchnical difficulty in the project.In order to solve the problem of drainage in fine soil,put forward a new type of drainage equipment of capillary.Though the experiment study the hydraulic characteristics of capillary and tube bundle and the corresponding parameters are provided for engineering application.First of all,this paper studys the hydrodynamic performance through the test of three materials(silicon tube,tetrafluoride tube and polyethylene tube),their have six different inner diameter(0.5mm,1mm,2mm,3mm,4mm,5mm),it studysthe relationship between the capillary force and its diameter,it is 0.5mm that the biggest capillary force is tetrafluoride tube.In the case of a constant head,this paper aanalyses the relationship between the quantity of capillary flow and diameter and the length of the pipe,and the effect of head loss about terminal capillary pressure,and then analyse the proportion of the frictional head loss,it is obtain that the effect of diameter on the displacement is greater than the length,can not ignore the terminal capillary pressure.Finally,the capillary drainage test was carried out with a tetrafluoride tube,its internal diameter of 0.5 mm.Secondly,based on the study of the capillary bundle model in the soil,the capillary is used to replace the virtual pore formation formed by soil particles,this paper analyse the capillary bundle quatity of drainage with different length,different number and different diameter,obtain the correspondence,the reasults show that it is an effective method to improve the drainage capacity of the tube bundle by changing the number of capillary tubes.Finally,under the specific head,it complete the verification test of the capillary drainage effect in the fine soil,establish the calculation method of the actual displacement of the capillary bundle,proposehe application scheme of the capillary bundle in the back drain of the retaining wall.
