Energy security and environmental issues have become one of the biggest threats to human beings,governments attach great importance to alternative fuels that are environmental protection,economical and security,vehicular oxygenated alternative fuels has become the focus.Polyoxymethylene Dimethyl Ethers(PODE)is an oxygen-containing coal-based ether fuel,which is similar to the physical and chemical properties of diesel oil,with high cetane number,high oxygen content and low sulfur content,making it the world recognized environmental diesel fuel composition.This paper mainly studies low proportion of PODE mixed with diesel fuel,preparation of PODE were separately blended with diesel fuel PD5,PD10,PD20(PD5 represents the volume ratio of 5% PODE+95% diesel).In this article,physical and chemical properties were studied from five aspects: evaporation,low temperature fluidity,corrosivity,cetane number and low calorific value.The results showed that most physical and chemical indexes met the national standard of vehicle diesel,with the increase of mixing ratio,the cetane number,flash point,density,acidity gradually increased,the kinematic viscosity,freezing point,cold filter point,sulfur content,low calorific value and the distillation temperature gradually decreased.Through the bench test on 4100 QBZL diesel engine shows that compared with 0# diesel,the power of the three kinds of mixed fuels is slightly decreased,the effective fuel consumption rate and the effective thermal efficiency are improved,HC,CO and soot emissions decreased significantly,CO2 emissions are basically the same,NOX emissions increased slightly.The combustion characteristics of YC6G270-30 diesel engine also have been investigated,the highest cylinder pressure decreased slightly as the blending ratio increased,the peak value of cylinder pressure is the largest;The peak value of pressure rise rate are basically the same,and the peak value of 0# diesel is slightly higher;The instantaneous heat release rate in premixed combustion section decreases in turn,in diffusion combustion section,PD10 corresponds to the maximum instantaneous heat release rate,PD20 and 0# diesel are equivalent,PD5 corresponds to the smallest value;PD20 has the largest average temperature in cylinder,PD5 is the smallest.The results of this study show that PODE has little effect on the power of diesel engine,but it has a significant improvement in the economy and emission,and abundant sources make it become a type of alternative clean diesel component to solve energy crisis in our country.
