With the fast development of science and technology, the design performance index of the lateat generation aviation and spacecraft has greatly been improved, which imposes higher requirements on precision drive components. As a new precision driving component, ultrasonic motor has become a new choice for precision driving function parts due to its unique advantages brought by piezoelectric transformation and friction driving mechanism. It has broad application and development prospect in high precision motion and position control. In this thesis, based on the existed traveling wave type rotary ultrasonic motor system(TRUM),we established a three-dimensional dynamic model of 60-TRUM by means of finite element simulation tool, proposed an optimization scheme for the TRUM.The main contributions of the dissertation were summarized as follow:Firstly, the dissertation has analyzed the principle of the TRUM and explained the necessary condition to excited travelling wave in stator, the partition of piezoelectric ceramics, the motion trajectory of the particle on the stator and power transmission on friction interface.Analyzing the friction model of the contact interface.Secondly,A three-dimensional dynamic model of TRUM is established by using finite element software ABAQUS considering the three-dimensional contact between stator and rotor. The simulation results of the model output characteristics are in good agreement with the experimental results, which proves the accuracy of the three-dimensional model. The influence of the input parameters on the motor performance is analyzed.Thirdly,Motor optimization. The load and output performance of the motor are improved by changing the friction layer material, adding the surface texture to the friction layer and increasing the height of stator’s tooth. The experimental results show the feasibility and practicability of the optimization scheme.
