Since the 21st century, the contradiction between the surge of electricity load demand and the serious environment problem causes more and more attention of various fields.Carbon dioxide emissions have led to a serious greenhouse effect, and brings bad influence to people's survival as well as to the national development. Therefore, our country advocates the low carbon economy. From the Angle of the electric power dispatching industry, while ensure safe and economic operation system,CO2 emissions should be considered. It is particularly important that achieving high yield with low emissions of CO2 by analyzing the characteristics of the system running and scheduling planning problem. This paper aims to propose the optimal power generation scheduling planning considering the effect of carbon dioxide emissions.Firstly, the equivalent model of carbon dioxide emissions from fossil fuel units under different types of fuel is established.Secondly, introduce two indicators, namely, power generation cost of carbon dioxide emissions equivalent trade-off curve and the carbon dioxide reduction incremental generation cost curves,to assess the carbon dioxide emissions for the extent of the impact of power generation cost. Then,a single objective programming method is proposed to construct the power scheduling strategy based on the carbon emission. The characteristics of this planning strategy is that the policy makers can take into account the environmental and economic factors.Based on the problem of power generation scheduling problem, this paper uses the particle swarm optimization algorithm to match the new coding method, and can quickly obtain the optimal power scheduling. Finally, taking a multi unit system as an example, the simulation test is carried out.In different situations, the results of the proposed method can effectively consider the impact of the reduction of carbon dioxide emissions on power generation costs, and achieve the goal of both environmental protection and economy.
