This thesis bases on the design of east high-speed railway station of Huai'an,and is divided into two parts.The first part consists of the expression of the result of the project design.In the second part the strategy of the collaboration of space and structure in high-speed railway station is studied,via the discussion of space design,structure design and collaborative design.The second part of the thesis begins with analyzing the space design in high-speed railway station.First of all the organization mode of space is discussed,which is different from it in traditional railway station.Because of the change of city environment and operation mode,the organization mode of space in high-speed railway station is characterized by vertical development and the fact,that people take fewer time waiting inside.The city plaza,station house and platform turn to three stories that provide space for departure,getting aboard and arriving.All these three stories should be simple and clear,even though they are responsible for different tasks.Waiting room in the departure story or the platform story can be the main space in high-speed railway station.According to the way that the main space is organized,it can be divided in three types,namely space with no dimension,one dimension and two dimensions.The analysis of structure design in high-speed railway station starts from the distinction of different meanings of the word structure and the concluding of elements necessary to define one single structure type,namely the way of changing direction of gravity,geometric diagram and material.Designers can decide which structure type is appropriate,taking factors like space,site and technology into consideration.When it comes to the design of high-speed railway station,the chosen structure types can be cantilever,arch and curving truss.These abstract structure types can be uniquely shaped,if we change the general form of one of three defining-elements.On the basis of the analysis of space and structure,this thesis describes the characteristic and concrete design methods of the collaborative design of space and structure in the last,which is characterized by multiple systems.These interconnected systems function at the same time,influence each other and promote the development of design together.In the design of high-speed railway station,the method of collaborative design is applied in three phases.Choosing structure types and the organization of structure unit are the first two phases.Then the original feature of the station appears,and the principle for the following work is confirmed.The last phase consists of the further design of different components not functioning as structure.This final phase still deserves our attention,when we want the principle to be clearly revealed in the final work.
