The collapse of reinforced concrete frame structure in earthquake caused a large number of casualties and economic losses.It is of great practical significance to study the collapse mechanism of the frame structure,which provides important reference for seismic structure design,seismic reinforcement and earthquake relief work.In this paper,the THUFIBER based on MSC.Marc finite element software is used to analyze the reinforced concrete frame structure of Beichuan Credit Union,which was completely collapsed during Wenchuan earthquake.The main contents and conclusions are as follows:1.Characteristics of reinforced concrete frame in previous earthquakes were summarized according to the data of earthquake damage survey,which include the damage of column,filled wall and weak layer.2.The analysis of Beichuan Credit Union is carried out under different peak accelerations.And the results of dynamic analysis were discussed.Large numbers of yield hinges were found in the damage framework.The failure modes were the lower,middle and upper collapses modes.3.Earthquake resistant capability was analyzed basing on Incremental dynamic analysis.The Collapse Margin Ratio equals to 4.4.The average maximum storey angle equals to 1/22.
