As a typical nonlinear load,the electric arc furnace has a large number of harmonic injection into the power grid,which has serious impact on the quality of power supply,which directly endangers the safe operation of the power grid and the normal use of other users.It has great significance to study the power quality problems caused by the harmonics of electric arc furnace and put forward the control measures.In this paper,the effect of electric arc furnace harmonic on the power grid is taken as the starting point.Starting from the establishment of the electric arc furnace model,the chaos model of the traditional electric arc furnace is improved by studying the working characteristics of the electric arc furnace.The simulation results show that the model New chaotic model simulation to verify it is concluded that the model can not only reflect the nature of the electric arc furnace chaos,but also can accurate simulation of the electric arc furnace brings to the power grid harmonic harm,has solved the traditional chaotic model of electric arc furnace cannot really reflect the harmonic problems.Harmonic suppression is generally used in passive power filters and active power filters.Active filter with respect to the passive filter has a high cost,running loss,the capacity is difficult to improve the shortcomings.The passive filter has a simple structure,less investment,stable operation and other advantages.In the aspect of reactive power compensation,the main reactive power compensation method is the parallel capacitor and the static var compensator(SVC).At present,SVC has the advantages of long adjustment time,large saturation loss and high cost compared with the parallel capacitor compensation method.Considering that this paper uses the passive power filter and the parallel capacitor to run the way of harmonic control and reactive power compensation.The paper based on the electric arc furnace of Tongchuan Zhongye No.2 Rolling Mill,the harmonic load of electric arc furnace is modeled based on the power system integrated calculation and analysis software(ETAP).The single-line diagram of the system is established,and the actual data of Tongchuan Power Grid and electric arc furnace The field measured data entry model for simulation.The influence of the harmonics generated during the operation on the grid in the region and the research on the countermeasures are studied.According to the influence of the electric arc furnace on the Tongchuan power grid,the filter scheme and the estimation filter are determined,the capacitor compensates the reactive power,and compares it with the data before the control,and verifies that the governing scheme can reach the harmonic harmonics and finally reach Compensating reactive power,improving power factor and improving Tongchuan power quality.Finally,this paper summarizes the research contents and provides a reference for studying the influence of electric arc furnace on the power quality of regional power grids.
