From a military point of view,the war at sea has replaced the war on land,becoming the most important form in local wars.Underwater small targets,like underwater divers are becoming more and more important in warfare.Research on underwater divers,who have inconspicuous underwater acoustic echo characteristics,is still infancy in China.In this paper,a set of signal visualization software for processing the underwater diver's signal is designed and developed.First of all,considering the sources of underwater diver's signal,the signal visualization software is divided into four modules,namely active exploration of underwater divers' equipment wearing light open-scuba(self-contained underwater breathing apparatus),passive exploration of underwater divers wearing light open-scuba,active exploration of underwater divers' equipment wearing heavy ADS(Atmospheric Diving Suit)and passive exploration of underwater divers wearing heavy ADS.Based on the use,passive exploration of each kind of diver can be divided into three modules,namely detection of underwater divers,DOA estimation of underwater divers and feature extraction of underwater divers.So the whole underwater diver's signal visualization software is divided into eight parts.There are different algorithms for processing the diver's signal in each module.The module of active exploration of underwater diver's equipment can get the target strength of diver's equipment,processing the underwater diver's equipment's reflected signal.The module of detection in passive exploration tries to detect whether a diver appear or not,using the method of SMF,NMF,GMF and RMF.The module of DOA estimation in passive exploration tries to get the direction of the diver,using the method of average acoustic intensity,histogram and weighted histogram.The module of feature extraction in passive exploration tries to discuss the feature of the diver in time domain,frequency domain,time-frequency domain,spectral envelope and auditory domain.Underwater diver's signal visualization software developed under Visual Studio and Matlab mixed programming software platform.Then we tested the software with diver's signal from the experimental data recorded in tank.The result shows the software can enforce all the functions devised,verigy the stability and scalability of the software at the same time.
