Pharmaceutical and personal care products(PPCPs)are a kind of emerging pollutants which are closely related to human's daily life.Compared with traditional pollutants,they come from different kinds of sources.PPCPs have been detected by many countries and regions in rivers,lakes,sewage treatment plants and domestic drinking water.PPCPs exist in environment for a long time,so they can accumulate in animals' bodies,which may lead to chronic intoxication.Nowadays water treatment technology can not remove PPCPs effectively.Water wupply network is an important process protecting the safety of drinking water,so it is necessary to simulate how PPCPs change in water supply network.In this work,typical PPCPs are added in simulated water supply network and we investe the variety of concentration and influence of particulate matter and chlorine.In this work 13 kinds of PPCPs were selected.They were analysed by HPLC-MS/MS and a kind of software called Qualitative Analysis.In the adsorption experiment in ultrapure water,particulate matters in raw water were extracted and added into ultrapure water.At the same time,PPCPs were added and the device operated for 48 hours.The concentration of PPCPs was measured in different time.It was found that absorption kinetic curves of 9 kinds of PPCPs were very similar to pseudo second-order equations.In the adsorption experiment of tap water where chlorine was removed,PPCPs were added and the device operated for 48 hours.The concentration of PPCPs was measured in different time.It was found that the process was very similar to the adsorption experiment mentioned above,however,its regularity was worse than that in adsorption experiment.So except particulate matters,there are some other factors like bacteira and ion which will affect PPCPs in water supply network.6 kinds of PPCPs were very similar to pseudo second-order equations and 3 kinds of PPCPs were very similar to pseudo first-order equations.In the experiment of chlorinated water,it was found that 6 kinds of PPCPs were removed completely in very short time,5 kinds of PPCPs were hardly influenced by chlorine,and 2 kinds of PPCPs were removed in hours.Triclocarban was selected to react with chlorine.It was found that triclocarban can not be transformed to simple inorganic substance by chlorine.Intermediate products were generated.It was speculated that the intermediate products were 3,4-dichloroaniline and 3,4-Dichloronitrobenzene.And the degradation pathway of triclocarban was speculated.
