Expression Research Of Vernacular Architecture Elements In Rural Landscape Design

Vernacular architecture,as the crystallization of wisdom of thousands of years ancestors adapting to the local climate and nourishing of local culture,is a profound reflection of the local rural life and production methods and the important physical form of local "geographical identity" and "cultural context".How to inherit and carry forward the wisdom of the predecessors in the rural landscape in the construction of new countryside and the construction of beautiful rural areas in China is an important subject for rural planning and design practitioners.In this paper,with the methods of field research,literature reading,induction analysis,theory and practice,the concept of Vernacular,Vernacular Architecture and Rural Landscape is firstly discussed and after combing the relevant domestic and foreign research status,the concept,features,value,and category of vernacular architectural elements are summed up.This paper discusses the expression of vernacular architectural elements in rural landscape from the five aspects,that is vernacular architectural materials,vernacular architectural forms,vernacular architectural colors,vernacular decorative arts and other types of vernacular architecture.Vernacular architectural materials as the traditional texture of the village can also be interpreted creatively as the modern style;the form of vernacular architecture shall be protected and the partial visual symbol of the forms can be borrowed and used with innovation;the colors of vernacular architecture shall be the main key colors of the village environment;vernacular decorative arts in the rural landscape in addition to inheriting the traditional folk decoration,the new material,theme and pattern is introduced with the development of the times.Then,taking the planning and design of the rural tourism boutique line of Mazhai Town,Dongyang as example,the vernacular architectural elements are fully applied from the macroscopic and micro levels to the "point","line" and "face" in the rural landscape design.Finally,the Semantic Differential Method is used to verify the vernacular attraction and operation function of the rural tourism boutique line of Mazhai Town.Through quantitative research,it is fully affirmed the role of vernacular architectural elements in promoting the rural attraction of the rural landscape.Through the study on vernacular architectural elements and their expression in rural landscape design,the paper puts forward the idea that the application of vernacular architectural elements can enhance the vernacular attraction of rural landscape,which is the inheritance and development of traditional culture,but also is the new method for rural planning and design in the new era.
