The application of ultrasonic guided-wave testing technology is becoming more and more widely in modern industry. Now the ultrasonic guided-wave testing technology has become the most commonly used method of the non-destructive testing technology.Compared with other conventional detection methods, the ultrasonic guided-wave testing method has many advantages.Of course,in addition to the application in the field of the non-destructive testing technology, the ultrasonic guide-wave technology has been used in many other fields. The theme of this article is the ultrasonic guided waves theory and technology.Otherwise, the main contents of this article contain two questions: the dispersion of the waveguide structures and the problem of the ice attacted to the plate. In this paper, the main research methods: the theoretical derivation;the finit element method simulation;the experimental method. In addition,I put forward a scheme to detect and locate the ice attached to the plate at the end of the paper.Due to the first problem, the article first solves the dispersion of waveguide structure by the method of theoretical derivation. Then I solve the dispersion curve of aluminum sheet with different thickness ice layer by the break-point frequency method.According to the problem of the plate attached to an ice layer, the main content of this paper is to study the effect of ice on the energy dissipation in the propagation of ultrasonic guided waves in the dielectric layer. The research way used in this section is a method which combines finite element simulation method and experimental verification. The content of finite element simulation needs to be completed by using finite element sofeware Comsol Multiphysics 5.0.Another point is that the design of the experiments in this section needs to be as close as possible to the finite element model.By studying of the above two problems,we have obtained some rules about the dispersion of the waveguide structure and the energy dissipation of guided waves.Based on that,in the fifth chapter, the author puts forward a plan for the location of ice sheet attached to the surface. However, this assumption is not perfect and needs to be studied further.
