High power density and high power DC-DC converters are urgently needed to provide high quality power for the electric and electronic equipment in the application of phased array radar,missiles,aircraft and other weaponry.However,such DC-DC power products have some problem currently,such as low power density and low efficiency.In this paper,a high power density and high power DC-DC converter topology is studied,which is a two-stage structure and suitable for high voltage and wide voltage input,low voltage and high current output application.The first stage of the converter is LLC resonant converter with series-parallel transformers working in fixed-frequency and open-loop mode,and it automatically implements equalization of the two transformers.the latter is the interleaved Buck working in closed-loop mode,and it reduces output voltage ripple.The working principle of the converter is analyzed in this paper.According to the loss model of LLC converter and Matlab simulation,the parameters of LLC circuit is designed.According to the requirement of output voltage and current,the parameters of Buck circuit is designed.The three operating modes and the current sharing characteristics for the converter are analyzed under the conditions of different magnetizing inductance,turns ratio and duty cycle.the rationality of the circuit parameter design and the characteristics of the cascade converter topology are verified by theoretical analysis,simulation and 1kW brick test.With structure of IPOP?IPOS?ISOPor ISOS,it successfully achieves the power sharing between multiple power modules,effectively reduces the voltage and current stress between the various power modules,reduces the size of the machine.The common control strategies in the IPOP system is analyzed in this paper and we choose the democratic equalization method as the control method.By adding the synchronous start control,it ensures the smooth operation of the IPOP system during the startup process.The control strategy which commonly used in ISOP system is analyzed.The wireless voltage feedforward control strategy is proposed,and the theory of input voltage equalization is analyzed and studied.Two 1kW full brick test prototypes were built.The experimental results verify the successful operation of IPOP and ISOP systems.
