At present,China's rapid economic development,the country's GDP continues to increase,China's manufacturing power consumption is growing,there are growing urban power consumption.Which put forward a higher demand for power grid agencies,not only requires a higher power plant power,but also requires the distribution of power distribution agencies to optimize and optimize the way.State Grid is a pivotal grid mechanism,the power system of a device testing,is one of the important responsibilities of the national grid.Because the power system equipment in the course of the operation of the phenomenon of partial discharge is often the main phenomenon,this anomaly will seriously damage a device,serious will lead to a device scrapped.In the past,power equipment detection methods are often power-off detection,this method has the advantage of high security and reliability,but the power system to stop,will cause a large area of power outages.This has greatly affected the quality of life of residents,but also affected the production of enterprises,the economic development caused a huge impact.So power detection technology has now been gradually eliminated.Charged detection technology came into being.Power system a device in the event of a failure,will be issued to the abnormal signal for the detection of personnel collection.Through the optical signal,electrical signals,acoustic signals,infrared signals can be resolved by the general point of failure.These anomaly signals provide a breakthrough for the live detection of power system equipment.At present,the commonly used live detection equipment has ultrasonic partial discharge detection method,infrared detection method,special high frequency partial discharge detection method(GIS),sulfur hexafluoride gas detection method.The GIS detection method uses the equipment area is small,the use method is easy to learn,the test result is accurate,the equipment is easy to carry and the maintenance period is short.Which is widely used in powersystem.This paper studies and discusses the development history,principle and structure of GIS.And the application of GIS,through the actual case to verify,by analyzing the data obtained by GIS,analyze the location of the fault point.
