Wind power generation was large-scale application in recent years.In the early,the wind generators are not equipped with special protection,because the wind turbine capacity is generally small.With the increase in wind power projects,wind turbine capacity is also constantly Increase.However,the protection of wind turbines has not received the corresponding attention.When the generator is short-circuited,it will cause the internal winding of the generator to be over current.The generator is power supply,if the internal phase winding interturn short circuit,or turn on the short circuit,the external current detection cannot correctly reflect the internal fault.Due to the generator is not configured for differential protection the generator winding may be burned.To solve problems above,this paper propose a protection principle by arc sensor detection of DFIG internal short circuit fault and design the arc protection system of the wind turbine.The main contents are as follows:First of all,on the basis of consulting the relevant literature,this paper introduces the research status and application of the wind turbine protection system at home and abroad,expounds the present situation and application of the protection system of the wind turbine.Through the establishment of DFIG mathematical model to analysis the stator interturn short circuit fault,and simulate the fault characteristics,developed LPN-206W arc protection device of DFIG.Secondly,this paper describes the LPN-206W wind turbine arc protection system,the basic principles and hardware components.The device combine TMS320F28335 chip and STM32F103R chip to design the dual CPU architecture of the processor,and separate the control panel and the man-machine interaction panel.The design of mainboard is based on TMS320F28335 chip,which is mainly composed of current signal acquisition,signal processing,control output and communication processing.The design of man-machine interaction panel is based on STM32F103R chip,which is mainly to complete the key processing,LCD display of the control panel’s data.And exchange data to control board through the RS485 interface.Finally,this paper introduce the remote monitoring system use KingView to design,it can realize the online measurement and control of equipment.This paper gives the actual installation position of the device and establishes the installation scheme according to the engine room structure.The device and the remote monitoring is a set of protection system,which can realize the arc protection of DFIG.The test shows that the internal fault action time of LPN-206W arc protection device is 7~10ms,which is much faster than the traditional temperature protection.The device can minimize the losses and create conditions for the rapid processing of the accidents and restoration of the power supply.
