As the basic industry of national economy,the development of highway construction is beneficial to improve the opening to the outside world and promote the progress of the society.At the same time,the development of the automobile industry also provide convenience for people to travel.But when people enjoy the convenience,there are a lot of potential dangers to the society namely the traffic security problems.Highway guardrail is one of the important traffic safety facilities,it can protect the driving vehicle on the road which is suddenly deviating from the original direction.Highway guardrail can force it return to its original direction and protect the safety of crew.However,when the vehicle collision with the existing guardrail,the safety of occupant can not be well protected.Therefore,rational structures of the highway guardrail making them give full roles to reduce the accidents of casualties have important meaning.In this paper,according to the collision test standard,1.5 t car and 10 t truck are selected as collision test models.Frist,F concrete guardrail and double wave semi-rigid guardrail are established with Pro/E.Second,import them into the HyperMesh which is a finite element analysis software for pre-treatment settings and establish the coupling system of vehicles and guardrails.Finally,dynamic analysis software LS-DYNA is used to do the collision simulation tests.The collision simulation tests that two kinds of vehicles and F concrete and double wave semi-rigid guardrails to analysis the guardrail performance by the vehicle trajectory,occupant safety and vehicle safety etc.Optimization software HyperStudy is used to optimize the shapes base on section size for the F guardrail.Ultimately the optimal size of the F concrete guardrail cross-section values are determined.Finally,the collision simulation between the two kinds of vehicles and the optimal size of the F concrete guardrail to verify the effectiveness of the optimization results.According to the collision between the two kinds of vehicles and double wave semi-rigid guardrail,the 1.5t car happens resistance phenomenon,the truck makes guardrail large deformation.Firstly,there are three different structure guardrails proposed,such as bent column semi-rigid guardrail,horizontal double beam guardrail and vertical double beamguardrail.The vertical double beam guardrail is final determined by the occupant safety.Secondly,in order to absorb more energy in the collision process and realize the maximization of occupant safety,the lower beam height in the vertical double beam guardrail need to be determined.Thirdly,optimization software HyperStudy is used to optimize the thickness to save material.Finally,the collision simulation between the two kinds of vehicles and the vertical double beam guardrail which is optimized semi-rigid guardrail to verify the effectiveness of the optimization results.Finally,based on the above two kinds of optimized guardrails,the sensitivity relationship between different angles,speeds and acceleration,collision force and deformation which produced by the two kinds of vehicles colliding with the two guardrails is studied to provide reference for the operration of driver.
