A brief summary to the development of hydrodynamic optimization for ship-hull is given in this thesis,and based on the summary,this thesis try to perform the hydrodynamic optimization for KCS ship-hull,especially for the wave resistance.The hydrodynamic optimization for KCS ship-hull is different from the modification of initial hull before,it's aimed to choose typical parameters to represent the ship-hull.The strength of using parametric representation is embodied that only few parameters to change can realize the optimization for the ship-hull.The hydrodynamic optimization of ship-hull in this thesis with an objective function we usually choose wave resistance,the purpose is to decrease the objective function,and the boundary condition is keeping the volume same.There are three important stages in the process of optimization:parametric representation,choosing the typical ship-hull and'calculating of the hydrodynamic behaviors.In terms of the parametric representation,this thesis employed Perez's method for the representation of the KCS ship-hull,especially for the bulb-part of the ship.After that,some typical parameters need to be chosen to encode for the GA,meantime,a 20 times' iteration was operated to pick up 3 excellent ship-hulls in the end.In terms of the resistance calculating before optimization and after optimization,a Fluent solver is employed for KCS ship-hull.Because of the tiny differences,the results computed by Fluent are also with tiny differences.How to choose typical parameters or parametric representation for ship-hull is an innovation of this thesis as well as a difficulty.Besides,the wave resistance can be obtained by solving Euler equation under the circumstance of ideal fluid and VOF method.Using this method can get the wave resistance directly and more time can be saved.However,through comparing the initial ship-hull and optimized ship-hull we find that the resistance behavior is improved and the desired purpose is achieved as well...
