The traditional electric control valve driving device has shortcomings of large volume,high energy consumption and slow response characteristics.The orifice tube valve is a new type valve,which uses pressure gradient as the driving force,with advantages of high degree of intelligence and low driving power.In the nuclear field.This type of valve has broad application prospects.However,few had been conducted on the systematic characteristics,dynamic principle and dynamic characteristics about the valve.In this paper,a three-dimensional model of the flow regulating valve was established and the valve flow distribution,flow characteristics,orifice characteristics,motor power consumption and valve dynamic characteristics were studied by using Fluent software.Firstly,the 3D model of the throttle control valve was established,and then the proper meshing scheme is selected to ensure the mesh independence.According to the characteristics of the valve,suitable turbulence models,discretization scheme and boundary conditions were selected.By conducting the steady-state numerical calculation,the inherent flow characteristics,resistance characteristics and flow field distribution was obtained.Secondly,the main driving force,namely the pressure difference between piston upper and lower surface,and its relationship with the throttle port gap and the pressure difference between inlet and outlet was studied,which showed that as the gap decreases,the pressure difference increases with reduced relationship.On this basis,according to the relationship between the mechanical transmissions and the throttle end forces,the drive motor power consumption was studied in conditions of different pressure and different gaps and compared with the conventional control valve.This type of control valve has a power consumption of only 15% of the conventional valve which shows remarkable energy saving effect.This paper puts forward the dimensionless number of "power control ratio",which is used to measure the energy economy of different regulating valves.At last,according to the above research results,the differential equations of the valve clack was established,and the UDF program was compiled and then used to simulate the moving process of the valve clack.By doing the transient simulations,the influence of different speed and different spring stiffness on the dynamic characteristics of the valve was obtained.The research results of this paper is of great meaning in guiding the performance improvement and structural optimization of the throttle valve.
