Space capture using flexible methods is more appropriate in non-cooperative capture mission compared with rigid methods because of higher fault tolerance and safety and long operating distance.Space tether-net system is a flexible system with large-scale flexible net as the tool,through tracking&pointing,approaching,ejecting net and closing net process to achieve the goal of capturing on-orbit target.target is connected to the task platform by tether,but they are still two scattered rigid body and a setting process is needed.It is considered to change the momentum of the two rigid bodies into a stable tether combination in this setting process by the control of tether length and tension to ensure capture tasks be finished efficiently.A tension control mechanism prototype is developed for the ground-based simulation test task and optimal control strategy of tether tension in the setting process is discussed.Typical tension tests and dynamic tension tracking ground test are carried out to verify the effectiveness and accuracy of the drag strategy and tension control mechanism.The primary coverage is as follow:(1)A tether tension control mechanism prototype with adjustable length and tension of tether is developed.(2)For ground spot movement,two point model of tether combination is established and the optimal control strategy of time and tension control energy consumption is proposed based on the optimal control theory.(3)Ground simulation system of air float platform and simulator are established.Typical tension tests and dynamic tension tracking ground test are carried out by using the developed tension control mechanism prototype and ground-based flotation platform and simulator to simulate the drag process.The experiment results show the developed tension control mechanism prototype can track the tension control instruction effectively.The tension control performance of tension control mechanism prototype can better meet the ground drag removal control test requirements.Tension control mechanism and tension control technology contribute to the setting and towing control of the space tether combination assembly.
