With the rapid development of wireless communication technology and mobile computing,vehicular networking has gradually emerged as a new type of compelling intelligent network.Through it,vehicles can not only perceive the surrounding environment information,improve traffic and road safety,provide comfort driving assistance for the driver,and can also communicate with vehicles for the realization of automatic driving.However,the high mobility of vehicle nodes and the vulnerability of wireless links have brought great challenges to the information dissemination of vehicular applications.The traditional TCP/IP network architecture barely works effectively in such dynamic environment,and vehicular application is naturally information centric,generally considered information-centric networking architectures(ICN)are beneficial to the demands of information distribution in vehicular networking.Furthermore,a series of issues such as network topology changing,network splitting and wireless link interruption caused by vehicle mobility can seriously affect network performance,thus it is necessary to explore the vehicles motion pattern in the road and analyze the causes of these problems.In this paper,we exploit features of information-centric networking such as named content retrieval and pervasive cache to help efficient information distribution in vehicular network environment.Further introducing three phase traffic flow theory as the theoretical principle,through analysis of realistic vehicle dataset,we explored the vehicles motion pattern in city traffic and the micro mobility or macro flow characteristics,so as to research the relationship of vehicular mobility and network state.The researches demonstrate that,different traffic flow state and flow transformation trend reflect different network connection degree.The results give the guideline to design the interest packet and data packet forwarding strategy in different network traffic states.
