SWOT-PEST Analysis Of Ro-Ro Freight Transportation Of Commercial Cars In The Yangtze River

At present,China's automobile industry is increasingly growing and the development of industrial agglomerations is good.However,the development of the automobile logistics industry lags behind.Problems such as low efficiency and high costs are prominent,which is not conducive to the development of China's automobile logistics industry and the construction of a sustainable society.In recent years,the State Council and the State Department of Transportation have attached great importance to the development of various transport modes in the Yangtze River basin and have successively issued a number of policies and guidance documents to promote their sustainable development.Under the new background,it is imperative to study the development of automobile ro-ro transport in the Yangtze River.This paper firstly introduces the current basis of the automobile roll-on transport in the Yangtze River and summarizes the existing deficiencies from the aspects of the Yangtze River waterway,the layout of the automobile industry along the Yangtze River,the status of the main harbor berths,and the organization of the automobile roll-on and transport in the Yangtze River;Then we discuss the future planning and use the classical prediction model GM(1,1)in the grey system theory to predict.The forecast results show that in the next five years from 2018 to 2022,the throughput of automobile ro-ro transportation terminals in the Yangtze River valley will maintain a steady growth,and the average annual growth rate will reach about 12%.It also puts forward that the growth of transportation volume may have an impact on the bearing capacity of the existing automobile roll-on terminals and the existing ro-ro transportation system;finally,the SWOT-PEST matrix model is used to analyze the development prospects of the automobile roll-on in the Yangtze River.According to the results,From the aspects of financial services,infrastructure,personnel training,and policies and regulations,we propose reference suggestions for the development of automobile ro-ro transport in the Yangtze River.
