With the rapid development of armor materials,new technologies and systems of armor protection are constantly emerged and updated,which makes the battlefield survivability of armored vehicles increasingly enhanced.It has brought great challenges and tests to anti-armored weapons and ammunition,and its development has been proposed higher requirement.Because top armor is one of the most vulnerable parts of armored vehicle defenses,various types of attack anti-armor weapons have emerged,thus avoiding a single mode of traditional frontal attack.Based on this background,the mechanism and regularity of shaped warhead penetrating the armor in the state of skimming to attack the top were studied in this paper.The methods of theoretical analysis,numerical simulation and experiment were mainly adopted this article.Firstly,the penetration physical models of shaped warhead in the state of skimming to attack the top were based on the penetration mechanism of the jet penetrating target and the target with reactive armor under static conditions.According to the model,the penetration mechanism theoretical formulas were improved and deduced under dynamic conditions.Secondly,ANSYSY/LS-DYNA finite element analysis software was used to establish the simulation model.And shaped warhead respectively penetrated target and the target with reactive armor at different speeds(0 m/s,300 m/s,400 m/s,500 m/s,600 m/s)under the conditions with different penetration angles(0°,30°,40°,50°,60°)were simulated.Then,the simulation results were compared with each other and combined with the deduced theoretical formula of the penetration mechanism to obtain the penetration regularity of the shaped warhead in the state of skimming to attack the top.Finally,two kinds of penetration angles were selected to conduct static experiments to verify the simulation resultsaccording to the simulation scheme.Research shows:(1)When the shaped warhead penetrates the target,if the flight speed is certain,the cutting length of the target surface is basically the same,but the depth of penetration increases with the increase of penetration angle.If the penetration angle is certain,the cutting length of the target surface increases with the increase of flight speed,but the depth of penetration decreases with the increase of flight speed.(2)During the process of penetration of the shaped warhead into the reactive armor,the fracture time of each part of the jet at the time of static penetration and dynamic penetration decreases with the increase of flight speed or penetration angle,and the dynamic penetration than static penetration obviously advances.(3)When the shaped warhead penetrates the target with reactive armor,the cutting length of the target surface increases with the increase of flight speed or penetration angle,but the depth of penetration of the fractured head jet to the target decreases with the increase of flight speed or penetration angle.
