With the increase of fuel price,the design index of ship school(EEDI)and the implementation schedule of energy efficiency operation index(EEOI),it is urgent to study the energy-saving technology of ships.Because of low cost,high yield and easy installation,the water power saving device is used by researchers to rebuild the old ships and achieve certain results.In order to improve the energy saving effect of additional hydrodynamic device,usually used the combination of energy saving device,optimize combination system energy saving effect of parameters,to reduce the running resistance of the optimal goal of the ship.The development and popularization of computer technology has led to the rapid development of computational fluid dynamics(CFD)technology.CFD software plays an important role in solving fluid flow and heat transfer.In order to improve the operation efficiency of MPV22000 multi-purpose bulk freighter,reduce the ship resistance and energy loss,this paper studies the energy saving attached rudder and rudder fin.First of all,using the CFD software to calculate the open water propeller hydrodynamic performance,contrast and analysis the calculated results with HSVA tank test value,the results showed the alignment is higher,verify the accuracy of numerical calculation.In addition,according to the actual situation of propeller and rudder,usually the right paddle-rudder spacing to improve the uniformity of propeller disk wake flow field and the stability of calculation,what is beneficial to improve the thrust of the oar.But the rudder's existence disturbed the rear flow field,resulting in the poor energy saving effect of the blade-rudder system.Secondly,in order to improve blade-rudder system energy saving efficiency,consider to install on the rudder the rudder and rudder ball thrust fin device,and study the rudder ball diameter,rudder Angle design parameters,such as shape,fin to paddle-rudder-the rudder and propeller-rudder-rudder ball fin system the influence of the hydrodynamic performance of the two groups.Calculate the rudder ball diameter and fin installation Angle which can save energy efficiency of the combination device.Found that increasing the rudder ball diameter and diameter ratio,the energy saving is relatively ideal of the combined system,otherwise,with the increase of fin installation Angle,energy-saving efficiency is increase and then decrease,and angle is the best match.Finally,calculated the optimized propeller-rudder-rudder fins and hull combination and analyzed the energy efficiency of rudder fins.First,compared the calculation of naked hull,ship's resistance,propeller thrust and torque value with the test value of the pool.The results show that there is a certain error between the numerical simulation results and the pool test value,but the calculation accuracy is higher within the allowable range of the project;Then the rudder fins are installed to calculate the hydrodynamic performance of the ship-propeller-rudder fin system,and discuss the interference between the ship,oar and energy saving device.
