Commercial space is an important part of urban public space,which is one of the main active factors of urban activities,and has a subtle influence on urban development and residents' life.With the gradual improvement and rapid development of China's socialist market economy and the rapid development of urbanization,the mode of commercial space in China has also changed dramatically.Also in the social informatization,network,intelligent information technology such as update and perfect,the original consumer behavior transformation and upgrade,so the commercial space and urban public space also will transform and upgrade.In the process of the transformation and upgrading,the public space of the commercial space has played a crucial role,improving the quality of the public space influence the operations of the commercial space and the activities of the city development.Therefore,creating a comfortable and rich experiential commercial space will arouse people's desire for consumption,thus leading to better transformation and development of commercial space for urban public space.Secondly,the public space of commercial space is urban,which serves as the function of social,leisure,walking and staying.As the public space of the commercial space that intersects with the city,it has penetrated into the city life of the residents.Fundamentally speaking,the public space of commercial space is the place of citizen's social life,the carrier of the city's multi-culture and the essence of the charm of the city.Therefore,how to create a public space with a sense of place plays a crucial role in the design of commercial space.In view of the research on public space construction in commercial space,this paper mainly starts from two aspects,namely "space and city","space and people".This paper analyzes the transition of urban space,the introduction of natural space,the creation of urban focus,and the analysis of factors such as sensory experience,social interaction and historical inheritance.The commercial space cases are classified and planned to resolve their public space characteristics.Finally through to the commercial space build summarized the design strategy of public Spaces,mainly divided into two aspects:the external and internal public space,public space for urban transition elements and human activities.In the external public space level,the public space is constructed in the context of urban nodes,natural environment and transportation links,and provides the city with interactive activities.At the internal public space level,people's behavior activities and thoughts and feelings have a sense of identity and direction to the place in the process of space experience.This paper summarizes the interaction between these two levels and summarizes the space construction strategy of commercial space in the public space,and provides a reference design idea and method for contemporary commercial space design in China.
