Rail-replacement construction is an important part of railway maintenance.It is a basic process in changing rail operation for long-rail train transporting the long-rail from manufacturing plant to the constructing site and meanwhile carrying back the worn rail.Fastener is an important component to connect rail and sleeper.To increase the efficiency of rail-replacement construction,it is necessary to remove some fasteners before the train arriving.Arranging the remained fasteners rationally plays a determining role in the process of train units passing the safe-construction-track.This paper would provide some practical advice for the security of the long-rail train and the layout of remained fasteners.The whole process that long-rail train passes the safe-construction-way is analyzed in this paper by means of the finite-element software ABAQUS and multi-body dynamics software SIMPACK.The simplified multi-body dynamic model of the long-rail train passing the curve track is established by SIMPACK software,where the train units are modeled as rigid body but the long rails as elastic body.The interaction between the long rail and the train units when the long-rail train passing the curve track are calculated,and the interactive forces and their time-dependent tendency are obtained.Furthermore,the influence of different train speeds on interactive forces is studied by SIMPACK software.Meanwhile the finite element models of the long rail and the train units are established by ABAQUS software to simulate their interactive phenomena,where the long-rail is simulated by beam elements.Different displacements are applied respectively on some special sites of the long rail,and then the interactive forces and the changing trend between the long-rail and units are calculated,which are consistent with the results by SIMPACK software.A detailed finite element model is established by ABAQUS software to simulate the interactive phenomena between train unit and curved rail track.The model includes train unit frame,wheel,rail,sleeper,rubber pad and fastener,all of which are considered as flexible bodies.Applying the maximum interactive force between the long-rail and units on the model,the relative displacement between two rail-tracks,and the stress distributions of all parts are computed.Through the simulation and computation for several fastener removing schemes,a rational scheme of fastens layout is determined.Simultaneously,the influence of fastener density on the safety of the long-rail train passing the curved track is studied.The research productions in this paper are applied to the construction between Shenzhen and Maoming.
