The curved continuous rigid frame bridge can be regarded as a comprehensive product of curved girder bridge, continuous girder bridge and T rigid frame bridge, whichcombined with the characteristics of the three. The double thin-wall pier is an ideal flexible pier in the continuous rigid frame bridge. It can support the upper structure and keep the stability of the bridge pier to meet the need of the displacement of the superstructure. The double thin-wall piers of curved continuous rigid-frame bridge is different from general continuous rigid frame bridge. There is so little reference material on research about such unique superstructure that it is very instructive significant to discuss its seismic response in order to analyze the dynamic response of the double thin-wall piers of curved continuous rigid-frame bridge under earthquake effect.Based on the research of one bridge, the paper completely analyzed and discussed in details the bridge's dynamic characteristics and seismic response by MIDAS/Civil,and carried out some discipline and conclusion as a source of reference for the seismic analysis of the kind bridge. The main contents included:(1)This paper firstly discusses the structure characteristics and mechanical properties of the curve continuous rigid frame, and then see research and application of literature of the curve continuous rigid frame bridge, and carries on the induction and the summary,as the introduction of this content.(2)Deseribed the Process of the development of seismic resistance theory and current situation, then consulting the documents and materials about seismic response analysis if bridge.Listing three methods of the seismic analysis,i.e.the Static method, the response spectrum method and the dynamic time-history method.(3)Simply introducing the background of the brige and the finite-element method, using MIDAS/Civil to establish model for analysis, and the internal forces and deformations of the maximum cantilever and the completed bridge are analyzed and calculated.(4)By changing the geometric parameters of the structure—the radius of curvature, the dynamic characteristics of the parameters are analyzed.(5)The response of the structure is analyzed by the response spectrum method, and the influence of the radius of curvature and the direction of seismic excitation on the seismic response of the structure is analyzed.
