With the rapid development of China's electric power industry,modern power system is moving towards large power grid,large units,ultrahigh voltage,large capacity direction,in order to protect the stability of power systems,reliability,modern power system insulation equipment also made a higher demand.GIS equipment is compact,the entire area of the device than the traditional open device greatly reduced,and not affected by the external environment,high reliability,so in 110 kV and above urban substation has been widely used.However,the electrical insulation defects caused by partial discharge directly affect the safety of the operation of the GIS equipment and the stability of the system.In recent years,both at home and abroad are committed to the partial discharge of online diagnostic technology research,for the early diagnosis of GIS failure,timely forecast of the development trend of the Council,and predict the degree of insulation damage related equipment.In order to solve the above problems,this paper firstly analyzes the different types of electrical insulation defects caused by partial discharge,compares the common monitoring methods of GIS discharge,and analyzes the UHF method.The feasibility of partial discharge monitoring;Secondly,the performance characteristics and hazards of GIS partial discharge are analyzed.The basic principle of PDC based on UHF technology is discussed,and the typical patterns of different PD types are summarized;Then,the structure,function and key technologies of GIS on-line monitoring system are introduced in detail,and the processing suggestions are given on the existing monitoring system.Finally,the application of GIS on-line monitoring technology based on UHF method in power system is discussed with the example of engineering application of local discharge on-line monitoring system of GIS equipment in 220 kV PeiHou station.Based on the analysis of the signals obtained from the monitoring system,it is shown that the GIS on-line monitoring method based on UHF technology can effectively monitor the partial discharge signals caused by the insulation defects inside the GIS,and it is obvious in improving the reliability of running GIS equipment To effectively ensure the safety,continuous and stable operation of GIS equipment and power grid.In this paper,the GIS local discharge monitoring methods,system composition,system application examples and other aspects of a more systematic research,research results on the system to improve and better grasp the equipment insulation,to achieve the status of monitoring has some practical significance.
