Pulsed plasma thruster(PPT)has become one of the tiny satellite power system,Because of the advantages of the simple structure,low thrust,specific impulse,small elementary impulse,low power consumption and so on.In the process of use,it can achieve some tasks,such as orbit maintenance,attitude control and the thrust compensation,so it has become one of the hot research for the majority of scholars.But its efficiency is very low,we designed a double pulsed plasma thruster in order to improve its efficiency.In order to explore the physical process of its work,we want to test its product.The domestic and foreign scholars have found that when PPT discharges,there are some very sophisticated physical phenomena happening such as strong electromagnetic radiation,heat and other physical phenomena.Compared to the PPT,the working process of the double pulse plasma thruster is more complicated.So the choice of test methods should have the following requirements;Fast response so that it can measure the transient plasma;Test method is not influenced by strong physical phenomena;Test methods can't prototype have any impact to the prototype.In view of these requirements,we choose to use emission spectrometry test the plasma.For the test task of double pulsed plasma thruster,this paper firstly introduces the domestic and foreign research achievements of spectroscopy applied in the field of plasma,and then designed and built spectrum experimental system and solved some questions which affect the test accuracy when we use spectroscopy : PPT initial positioning,time reference,light intensity calibration and sampling resistor selection.In order to better study the working principle of a prototype,according to the experimental data from various positions at different voltages within the prototype channel.I calculate the electron temperature and electrodensity;Meanwhile,studied the spectroscopy variation which different wavelength spectra at different locations at the same voltage group with time,and the spectroscopy variation which different wavelength spectra at every locations at the different voltage group with time;And also study the electron temperature the electron density changes at different locations at the same voltage group and at every locations at the different voltage group;and use the electron density changes to verify the current variation in the actual working process of prototype;Finally,I study the relationship between plasma loss and voltage,and obtaine that with the increase of the second plate' voltage the loss decreases.
