| With the rapid increase of car ownership in a city,urban transportation demands expand unprecedentedly that have caused the traffic congestion,traffic accident,and traffic pollution.In order to solve such increasingly serious urban traffic problems,the particle flow simulation analysis is carried out by the discrete element method,combining with the feature of the actual vehicle and road in this paper.The influence rule on different inlet parameters for the whole traffic flow could be mastered progressively,thus it can forecast the formation and development process from the local lag to entire blocking,uncover transport phenomena and essence,improve the efficiency on the use of the road,so as to provide the theory basis for urban road planning,design,and traffic management.Urban traffic flow is composed of medium density changing vehicle team,and the influencing factors for the motion parameters include road,vehicle and control factors.Thebehavior of a lot movement ofvehicleson the road can be equivalent to the flow of particles in the geometric model.The actual traffic flow is constantly changing,and the corresponding particle flow density and flow state must also change with the change of the inlet flow.This article used particle as an analogy of vehicle,and took the traffic flow which was composed of different scales of vehicles as equivalent particle flow with variable scale and speed.Research about traffic flow is simplifiedbythemethodof particle flow,whichison the Hertz-Mindlin(No Slip)contact model andin combination with the actual vehicle and road characteristics。Furthermore,particle flow simulation analysis is carried outby the discrete element method,involving different road models,vehicle density,traffic signal control and so on.According to the two-way straight road model andturning road model,a research on the inlet flow and inlet velocity of particles flow was carried out with a fixed the number of particles to control the traffic flow.On the basis of a large number of data analysis,the influence rule on different inlet parameters for the whole traffic flow could be masteredprogressively.So as to forecast the formation and development process from the local lag to entire section blocking.Such study has important guiding significance for traffic flow.In view of the T-junction road model,the influenceis studied for the particle’s convergence and the separation process on rotating velocity of particles.According to the research results we have obtained so far,it can be concluded that the particle’s steering and passing speed wouldbe promoted,that the convergence and separation process can be improved,and that the particle flow density on the road would be reducedif the angular velocity of each particle is opposite to the direction of its turn.It has certain guiding value to the design of particle flow simulation in the complex road model. |
