Hydraulic turbine runner is the power machinery to turn water energy into mechanical energy,its quality and performance has an important influence on the reliable and economic operation of a hydropower plant.Model hydraulic turbine runner,as a small-scale of a real runner,will obtain the related performance parameters by hydraulic test,It's not only the reflection of core hydropower technology research,which has significant influence on enterprises strive for the order,but also by predicting the relevant performance of real runner,it will effectively ensure the quality of real products,and has a very important significance on the safety and stability of the whole hydropower plant.With the development of the additive manufacturing,another manufacturing technology with high precision,low cost will be used.It will generate considerable economic benefits,help to get a more comprehensive understanding of the technology,and has a significant influence on expanding the application.This topic is to promote the industrial application of additive manufacturing on the hydraulic turbine runner,take the model turbine runner as an example,the following contents were studied:(1)Analyze the advantages and disadvantages of the application for additive manufacturing in model turbine runner,choose specific technologies to manufacturing a single blade sample,through the analysis and summary,the technology protocols of the application for additive manufacturing in model hydraulic turbine runner were made,which including technology process,material selection,target,etc.(2)Design the optimized structure of model hydraulic turbine runner for additive manufacturing,including complex assembly structure and transition fillet structure,achieve the weight loss by lightweight design,and validate the structural strength,by setting reasonable machining allowance,minimized the working speed,gained the material loss,formed the highest precision on the premise of basic strength of a model runner.(3)Research on the key technology of additive manufacturing for model hydraulic turbine runner,set a reasonable location of the runner,analyze buckling deformation and design effective supporting,set adaptive layered section for the turbine model,choose corresponding post-processing technology,which will effectively guarantee the strength,improving the quality of surface.By the iterative optimization,analyzed the current shortage,which will promote technological progress and innovation.(4)Verify the application of model runner made by additive manufacturing,compare the manufacturing cost and time between additive manufacturing and traditional method,detect the surface quality by three-coordinates measuring technology,apply the additive manufacturing runner to the hydraulic experiment,through the performance analysis and comparison,verified the additive manufacturing runner can meet the demand of hydraulic design.
