The surveillance system of railway surrounding environments depends on theenvironment in which the railway is located.The environmental difference will lead to a complicated surveillance system.For example,for railway tunnels,if the mountains on both sides of the railway is high,the surveillance is even required to extend to the top of the mountains,and form a full coverage of the entire mountains;if railways are located in places with low altitude,a sensitive flood warning system will be required,and even the water level of a reservoir close to the railways should be monitored;For railways under low temperature,the temperature,snow amount and other environmental factors need to be surveilled because a fair low temperature may lead to the rail cracking or deformation which may eventually cause an accident.In the past,the railway environmental inspection work are mainly done by the railway patrol workers.The inspectors will carry out regular and irregular inspections according to the weather conditions.However,the high-speed railway is a closed system.The inspection of the railway is fully realized by computer automation.In addition,the surveillance system for high-speed railways is usually implemented together with railway construction.It is managed by the unified railway surveillance system.However,the surveillance of the environment often varies with the surrounding environments.This requires that the surveillance system be updated at any time according to environmental conditions,and the updated part can be integrated into the railway unified surveillance system for system improvement.Hence,implementation of an automated surveillance system for railways is vital to the railway construction.This thesis designs and implements the surveillance system for Dan-Da high-speed railway.First,the overall structure of the surveillance system is designed.The system is composed of data sensing sub-system,data transmission sub-system and data processing sub-system.The on-site sensing devices which collect railway environmental information,data processing equipments and data transmission network are analyzed and designed in detail.For the environmental data to be sensed and collected including temperature,rainfall,snow,wind speed,vibration,and unexpected object invasion,those data sensors are analyzed and designed such that they can meet the specific requirements set by the Dan-Da railway environment.Then,the data processing equipments are designed.The controller is the core ofdata processing.Because different sensors have different communication methods,the transmission module,processor and debug circuit for the controller are analyzed and designed.Thirdly,the data transmission network is designed.The network topology and transmission methods are analyzed and described.Finally,the designed and implemented surveillance system is put into practical use.The surveillance results are analyzed.The results show that environmental data displayed in the monitoring terminals are consistent with the actual data collected in the field.This proves that the designed surveillance system can achieve the high-speed railway surveillance objective.It facilitates the safe and stable operation of the high-speed railway systems.
