As trains speed up,contact line failures and catenary dropper failures have increasely come into traffic lines,which have seriously impacts on the environment and the regular life of residents living around.First,In order to get the impact load of the catenary dropper,the vibration partial differential equations of the contact lines and messenger lines connected by droppers are analyzed on the basis of Euler-Bernoulli beam theory.Combined with the theory of no deviation catenary and the derivation of the vibration equation of the pantograph discrete finite system,The finite element model of flexible catenary and 2-mass finite elements model of pantograph are established.Then,the hypothesis are carried out before numerical simulation of interaction between the contact of pantograph and catenary.Compared with numerical simulation systems,some load methods are taken to deal with the differences between the two numerical analysis methods.Moreover,the forces to correct the height of catenary are extracted by finite element method,the numerical simulation system is validated by two cases described in standard EN50318 in terms of contact force and displacement of pantograph head.Last,the history of the impact load of catenary dropper is analyzed in the numerical system when the pantograph passing by.The factors,such as pantograph mass and catenary static contact force,which can influence the acceleration the dropper clamper are also analyzed in LS-DYNA for catenary dynamics improvement and dropper impact load decrease.The conclusion shows that the decreasing catenary static contact force is more efficient to reduce impact load on catenary dropper than adding pantograph mass.
