Research On Urban Activity Space Based On Microblog Data

This paper,by taking advantage of Weibo data,has analyzed urban space from perspective of resident activity and made a comparative study of the overall urban planning.On one hand,it has enriched current urban space study methods.On the other,it has assessed the planning from perspective of activity space so as to better serve urban space structure optimization under current rapid urban transformation and provide more scientific and effective guidance for the development and planning of urban space.First of all,this paper has collected and processed Weibo check-in data of Wuhan city within certain period of time with network data digging method and established a Weibo database.After that,a statistical analysis of the data is made for studying time law of urban activities.It is discovered that urban activity time based on Weibo data is featured with periodicity and the changing trend conforms to daily timetable of traditional urban residents.Following that,an analysis of the overall law of urban activity spatial distribution is made with Kernerl density analysis method and circle-layer analysis by applying ARCGIS and ARCSCENE platform in space.It is discovered that the overall activity space of Wuhan city is featured with “multiple cores and multiple points”,axial progress and directed circle layer.Moreover,a spatial-temporal evolution analysis of urban activity space at various time durations is made upon the analysis of urban activity time and space law.It can be concluded that: due to different cluster states in time and activity content in different time durations,the cluster feature from morning to night can be concluded as disperse-cluster-more clustered-disperse.Then a regional division of activity space is made with k-means spatial clustering method and activity content is concluded into six types of activity region models upon statistics and analysis of activity frequency of every activity region over time so as to recognize 43 activity regions with highest activity frequencies.Upon that activity borders,nodes,paths and central activity zone are defined respectively.Finally,factors that affect the formation of urban activity space are analyzed with qualitative and quantitative methods and the factors are summarized into economic elements,material elements and social elements.Finally,this paper,through making a comparative analysis of urban activity space,urban physical space and The Comprehensive Planning(2009-2020)of Wuhan,has analyzed effectiveness of the overall planning on urban spatial layout from urban system structure and main urban spatial structure.It is discovered that: because traditional comprehensive planning and assessment simply focus on static population,land and economic scale while activity space focuses on people ' s objective activities,severe misplace and mismatch among people,land and activity have been caused for traditional planning.
