The rubber plantation has been affected by typhoon frequently in Hainan Island, so the wind damage from the typhoon has become the main disaster in the rubber planting area of Hainan Island. However, the terrain is the most principal problem causing the wind damage, and as a factor of the terrain, the different altitudes in the planting area have obvious disparities. To find out the conjunctions between the altitude and the wind damage and complete the wind-resistant cultivation technology of rubber trees, this study has researched the wind damage in different altitude.This research takes the sample dates into the analysis of variance by using the annual cumulative wind damage rate as the index and basing the Geographic Information System, discovery the relations between the altitude with different slope position, aspect, gradient even the types of the extent and the wind damage, then come up with some hopeful suggestions to the produce and technology department according to the conclusions. The research also investigates the damage after the NO.1409Typhoon Rammasun, it verified the connection about the years cumulative wind damage rate and the current wind damage. The main conclusions of the research are as follows:(1) The role of the same law altitude wind damage:crest of slope>base of slope>middle of slope;windwind slope>crosswind slope>leewind slope;the more serious the slope is steep wind damage(2) Different rubber a ltitude wind damage law basic consistent with plastic garden wind damage law of the same altitude. With the increase of altitude and different slope, slope direction, slope of plastic garden wind damage difference increases. A small slope in mountain barrier environment, no obvious difference between slope positions. Part of the side slope wind wind damage is relatively serious, mainly exist in the gradient slower (<15掳) and isolated hill terrain(3) The extent of the wind damage in different type:with the rising of the altitude, the extent grows worse. In the slight damage area, each altitude does not show apparent discrepancy; in the moderate damage area, it comes with apparent differences at the altitude of100~200m and above300m; in the severe damage area, each stage of the altitude expresses a great discrepancy, particularly at the altitude of100~200m and above300m. it indicates that more huge the wind damage become, more disasters the higher rubber plantation have to suffer.(4) The extent of the wind damage in the NO.1409.Typhoon Rammasun:it turns out that the current wind damage rate almost keeps consistent with the years cumulative wind damage rate. As follows:the top of the slope> the middle of the slope> the bottom of the slope; the windward slope> the crosswind slope> the leeward slope, the steeper slopes get worse disaster, so as the slopes without any surroundings; if the slopes are on the specific space, it depends on the location.According to the research of connection between the wind damage and the altitude, I will give some proposals as follow:it is not suitable to crop the rubbers at a wide range of the planting area, which is located at the top of the slope over300m or the southeast of the slope with severe wind damage; there can be plant the variety of high production and middle extent of the ability to resist the damage, where was the slight and moderate wind damage area, and about the severe area, it should construct the shelterbelt more widely; as the steeper slopes, the construction of the annulus surroundings should be broadened; when the rubber plantation lactated on the open space, it is necessary to set up the shelterbelt; try not to set the rubber plantation at special terrain.
