Investigation And Study On Germplasm Resources And Gardening Application Of Ground Cover Plants In Nanchang City

Through the field works of 52 green spaces in Nanchang which were categorized as road green space, specified green space, residential green space and public green space, as well as the contrast and comparison of plant species, ornamental characteristics and application performance,This research made a comprehensive evaluation for ground cover plants of Nanchang by using Analytic Hierarchy Process. The result indicates:(1) There are 199 species ground cover plants in city garden of Nanchang which given priority to most of dicotyledonous plants to angiosperms,a total of 78 families,158 genera,The dominant families were Compositae, Gramineae, Rosaceae, Leguminosae, Liliaceae.Analysis from life form,herbaceous plants accounted for the largest proportion, up to 52.7%.Analysis from ornamental characteristics,evergreen is an advantage, give priority to with foliage, flower, fruit and fragrance ground cover less application. Township land occupied 49.75% of plants, but its practical application amount is less.(2) The application frequency of woody ground cover in Nanchang city was higher than other types; 15 different vegetation species are the most popular landscape vegetation, which occupied 80% of the whole usage, 12 of them are woody plant,existing a serious polarization phenomenon.Hence, in terms of Plant disposition pattern, the road green space is lack of vegetation diversity;the green space in residential areas is more diversity in terms of vegetation species, as well as public green space.(3) Be different types, the relative importance of the evaluation index of each are not identical.For basic type of ground cover plants(A1):ecological quality indicators>application quality indicators>plant quality indicators; For backbone of ground cover plants(A2) :application quality indicators<ecological quality indicators=plant quality indicators;For decorative type ground cover plants(A3):plant quality indicators> ecological quality indicators > application quality indicators. Therefore,when choosing ground cover plants for green space in city,not only consider its landscape effect should pay more attention to the ecological benefits of the plant itself.(4) Recommend 20 species of excellent ground cover plants for green space application to green space in Nanchang.(5) Put forward three optimization recommendations ba sed on the application status of application of ground cover plants.
