| The brown planthopper (BPH) Nilaparvata lugens Stal, the white-backed planthopper (WBPH) Sogatella furcifera Horvath, and the small brown planthopper (SBPH) Laodelphax striatella Fallen, are serious pest of rice crops in temperate and tropical regions of Asia and also resurgent pests induced by pesticides. Resent planthoppers outbreaks in tropical Asia are considered to be associated with excess use of pesticides. The study showed that Triazophos and jinggangmycin exposure significantly increased the fecundity of BPH population in laboratory, but the effects of reproductive on the other two planthoppers have not been reported, in this paper, we study about the effect of the two kinds of pesticides on reproductive of this three kinds of planthoppers.1. Effects of two pesticides, TZP and JGM, on reproduction of three planthopper speciesThe present investigation examined effects of two pesticides, triazophos (TZP) and jinggangmycin (JGM) (a fungicide), on reproduction of BPH, WBPH, and SBPH. The results showed that TZP stimulated the fecundity of the three planthopper species. Interestingly, JGM stimulated the fecundity of BPH but suppressed the fecundity of WBPH. In addition, TZP and JGM had a significant effect on the preoviposition period (PVD), the oviposition period (OPD), and the longevity of adult females (LAF) of BPH and WBPH. Natural population growth following JGM foliar spray, the population growth rate increased, while the WBPH population growth rate decreased, consistent with laboratory oviposition experiment conclusion.2. Molecular basis for the different of fecundity between planthoppers induced by jinggangmycinThis study investigated contrasting effect of exposure to jinggangmycin (JGM) on reproduction of BPH and WBPH and its molecular evidence. we determined changes of reproduction of laboratory population of BPH and WBPH treated with JGM, conducted proteome and transcription analysis, and verified the actions of selected genes by RNAi. RNAi silencing of the gene demonstrated that Ace is essential for the stimulation of reproduction BPH induced by JGM and for the suppression of WBPH by JGM. Through the pathway analysis, finally selected ACC as the final object of study.3. Study on rice planthopper reproductive impact induced by JGMRNAi verification of selected gene function of ACC. The results showed that the BPH、 WBPH oviposition decreased after ACC gene interference, proves that ACC is BPH genital stimulation and WBPH reproductive suppression associated genes induced by JGM. The BPH hemolymph experiments show that Jinggangmycin treatment after Brown Planthopper adult female body blood pour Barry VG content was significantly lower than that of the control group; the control group in the hemolymph of VG content in addition to the first day is slightly less, the contents of the basicinvariant. We hypothesized that Jinggangmycin promotedthe absorption of VG by brown planthopper ovary, which is the cause of genital stimulation. |
