Therice straw in the composition mainly includes cellulose, hemicellulose and lignin.Efficient degradation of straw lignocellulose is the urgent problem to be solved in straw resource utilization. In this study, we used rice straw and wheat straw samples which supplied by Hunan of China and Mongolia, respectively.We have studied the biological degradation of rice and wheat straw using endophyticactinomycetes Osi Sh-1?Osi Sh-2,Osi Sh-10 and Osi Rt-1, which were isolated fromour laboratory. First of all, the analysis of four strains morphological showed that four strains form are compatible with the typical characteristics of actinomycete.Then the analysis for lignincellulosedegration enzyme production showed that Osi Sh-1, Osi Sh-2 and Osi Rt-1 can produce cellulase, laccase, lignin peorxidase or manganese peroxidase,but Osi Sh-10 don't have the ability to produce cellulase. After six days degradation of rice and wheat straw, the degradation rateof four endophytes were 33.9% and 30.1%(Osi Sh-1),34.1 and 25.3(Osi Sh-2),10.7 and 6.3(Osi Sh-10),35.2 and 6.7(Osi Rt-1)respectively. When using rice straw as the sole carbon source Osi Sh-1produced cellulase at the maximum level 0.113U/ml on sixth day, Osi Sh-2 showed maximum cellulase activities on sixth day as 0.016U/mlthe maximum level,of Osi Rt-1 emitted cellulose fermentation activation was reaching the maximum level 0.020U/mlin its fifth day. When taking the wheat straw as the sole carbon source, Osi Sh-1, Osi Sh-2 to producedcellulaseactivity on the maximum level 0.106U/mland 0.101 U/ml, respectively in fifth day.Among three kinds of actinomycetes Osi Sh-1, Osi Rt-1, Osi Sh-2, in the process of degradation of rice straw and wheat straw, Osi Sh-2 produced thehighestreducing sugar. So,Osi Sh-2is a potential endophyte for appilcation.
