The Impact Of Additional Nutrients On Predatory Function And Resistance Of Neoseiulus Barkeri

Neoseiulus barkeri(Hughes,1948)(Acari: Phytoseiide),is euryphagous predacious mites,its natural prey includes spider mites,flour mites,thrips etc.Due to its short developmental duration,low intrinsic mortality,high fecundity,high dispersal capability and consumption rate,and relatively developed mass-rearing techniques,N.Barkeri is considered as one of the most effective biological control natural enemy resources.Indoor propagation of N.Barkeri have achieved good effect,in order to provide certain reference basis for the field application,on the basis of predecessors' research,this paper further studies the influence of the four kinds of nutrition supplements(yeast powder,maizena,glucose,sugar)to the predatory function,self-interference and drug resistance of N.Barkeri female.The experiment is conducted in the condition of indoor experimental(T: 28,30,32,34,36 ?,RH80%,16L: 8D),the four kinds of nutrition were supplied according to proportion(diet mass: additive mass 10: 3).The results are as follows :1.28~36?,with the density of T.Putrescentiae increased,the number of N.Barkeri prey on T.Putrescentiae increased.Different nutrient supplements can improve the predatory function inordinately,Among them,The most two significant effect were adding yeast powder and sugar.2.In the same temperature,the attacking index and predacious ability both bigger than CK,the facilitation of adding the yeast powder was the most significant,the attacking index and predacious ability both reached the highest(1.4926,16.0482)in 28?,the facilitation of adding the yeast powder was the next,the attacking index and predacious ability were 1.2959,14.0194.Compared to CK,the predacious ability were improved by 49.79%,32.27%,and the handling time was decreased.3.With the density of N.Barkeri increased,the number of every capita of N.Barkeri prey on T.Putrescentiae is decreased;the four kinds of nutrition supplements all can improve the self-interference,shows that the four kinds of nutrition supplements can promote the mutual interference,with the temperature became high,the interference index of each treatment increased in 28~34?,the interference index became the smallest in 36?.In different temperatures,the self-interference index of N.Barkeri adding the yeast powder is the biggest,adding the sugar was the next,reached the maximum,was 0.5606,0.5550.4.In the drug-resistance,the resistance of N.Barkeri which adding different kinds of nutrient supplements were different.The yeast powder supplement canimprove the resistance of N.Barkeri female to Chlorpyrifos significantly,the maizena supplement was the next,the resistant index was 1.2573,1.1921;the resistance of N.Barkeri which adding the yeast powder to Abamectin increased significantly,the resistant index reached 1.3060,the sugar supplement was the next,the resistant index was 1.1987;The yeast powder and sugar supplements both can improve the resistance to Pyridaben,the glucose supplement had some effects,the maizena supplement had no obvious effect;only the yeast powder supplement can improve the resistance of N.Barkeri to Deltamethrin significantly,the resistant index reached 1.3026.
