The Black Soil Area of Northeast China has some characteristics, such as concentrated rainfall, long and slow slope, heavy clay parent material, loose topsoil et aL In this study, I use the experimental methods:determination on the soil physical and chemical properties and zeolite component to characterize the material properties. Determination on the percentage of mechanical-stable and water-stable aggregates size, bulk density, porosity, soil water characteristic cruve and the mechanical properties of soil to analysis the reasons for the changes. Through the test of black soil modified by zeolite, soil physical and chemical properties, mechanical characteristics linked to soil erosion resistance, which provide the experimental and theoretical references for the effective application of soil modified by zeolite, improve soil structure stability, erosion resistance and water-holding capacity. The study found:(1) Zeolite used in this study was mainly clinoptilolite;(2) Through the test of the black soil modified by natural zeolite, can improve the percentage of mechanical-stable aggregate, the MWD and GMD of water-stable aggregate improved with the increase in zeolite droping, and also the soil structure stability and erosion resistance.(3) In the test, with the increase in zeolite droping, soil bulk density was positively correlated to the zeolite droping. In the amount of 10%, it was increased significantly. Capillary porosity and total porosity was negatively correlated with the increase in zeolite droping, in the amount of 10%, aeration porosity was the largest.(4) The water-holding capacity:CK< NZ5%< NZ10%?NZ15%< NZ20%. Each experimental group of soil water characteristic curve can be achieved by Gardner model fitting, correlation coefficient reached 0.98. Coefficient a and saturated water content correlation coefficient reached 0.9418. It was economical and feasible to use the amount of 10% zeolite to improve the soil.(5) The soil cohesion c and internal friction angle (p reaches the maximum in the 11.11% mixing amount. When the zeolite was added into the soil, the soil structure was changed, the soil particle size distribution was more uniform, the structure was more stable, the shear strength was increased, and the corrosion resistance ability was enhanced.
