To implement the detection of heat stress of dairy cows in early produce has important significance for both the cows and the farm economic benefits.In this paper,we take "holstein cows" as the research object and the feasibility of early diagnosis of heat stress in dairy cows by infrared thermal imaging technology was studied.The main contents and achievements of this paper are as follows:(1)The preprocessing method of infrared thermal image is studied and the infrared image preprocessing software is programmed to realize image filtering and noise reduction processing for infrared thermal image,which provides a higher reliability for data processing.(2)The shell temperature measuring based on infrared thermal imaging technology is studied.According to the surface skin mean temperature measurement proposed by Ruzhi Li,the characteristics of skin temperature of healthy cows and the correlation between skin temperature and rectal temperature are studied.Compared with the effect of skin mean temperature measurement,the experimental results show that the effect of multiple temperature measurement of eye areas and rhinarium areas witch are not covered by fur is better.To establish the experimental basis for subsequent study of the relationship between cows shell temperature and the physiological state.(3)Based on the above tests,we pick out the maximum temperature and mean temperature in eyes and nose areas to do a further study of heat stress diagnosis method research under heat stress conditions.The results show that use the maximum temperature of the cow's eyes site to represent the cow's shell temperature has the best effect and the fitting equation is Y=13.85+0.65X(Y represents the rectum temperature,X represents the maximum temperature in eyes areas),the correlation coefficient is R2=0.84 which shows a high representativeness.In the mean time,when the maximum infrared temperature in the cow eyes areas changes at 37,97?38.66?,we determine the cow eyes maximum infrared temperature is closely related to the biochemical indexes which involved in thermal regulating in the heat stress reaction through the principal component analysis(pca).It further confirmed that the measurement of maximum temperature in eyes areas is able to produce a preliminary judgment of heat stress of dairy cows.
