In order to explore the effect of straw returning and drip irrigation on soil moisture,growth indexes,yield,water consumption characteristics and water use efficiency of the winter wheat,used Bainong AK 58 as materials,set eight test treatment,the differences among treatments were analysised.Results show:1)Straw returning can significantly improve the water retention of the soil,while the infiltration capacity of the surface soil can be improved,and the water loss caused by evaporation of surface soil can be effectively reduced.For straw returning treatments,of which the moisture content of middle layer soil(30-60cm)was 7.91 percentage points higher than that of No straw returning treatments,and the straw returning measures can effectively alleviate the negative effect of deep soil water consumption.Drip irrigation quota is 45 mm,which can effectively complement the middle layer soil moisture,and will not cause the water to seep into the deeper soil layer.Straw returning reduced soil water consumption in the early stage of winter wheat,and provided more water for winter wheat growth at the jointing stage and after.2)The combination of straw mulching and drip irrigation could effectively promote the development of small root of winter wheat,which could significantly increase the total root length,root length density and number of root tips of winter wheat.Root length density maximum at the flowering stage,root length density value of three treatments were 4.8,4.99 and 4.72 mm/cm2,root length density maximum value delayed than under No straw returning treatments.Under the condition of straw returning,drip irrigation compared with border irrigation,more conducive to the development of winter wheat root.3)Compared with non straw returning treatment,straw although have an adverse effect on winter wheat emergence,but it can significantly improve winter wheat Spring tiller,leaf area index,effective panicle number and yield.With the increase of irrigation quota,the plantheight and leaf area index increased,but the yield and composition factors of each treatment increased first and then decreased.YD2 treatment is the best combination of high yield and water saving under the experimental conditions.the effective panicle number,grain weight and yield were higher than other treatments,grain yield and water use efficiency were 9607.97 kg/hm2,24.07 kg/hm2· mm-1,water use efficiency is the highest.4)Under the condition of straw returning,The yield and water use efficiency of winter wheat were at a high level when the irrigation quota was 40 mm to 48 mm.The drip irrigation scheduling of winter wheat in North China Plain is: the irrigation quota is 40-48 mm,the irrigation times of the whole growth period are 4-5 times,which can effectively play the dual benefit of straw returning measures and drip irrigation.
