The effective components of AF-701 is methyl propylene,namely 1-MCP,It is widely used in fruits and vegetables postharvest fresh-keeping of ethylene inhibitors.The previous studies mainly focused on the role of 1-MCP on fresh-keeping.In the present research,1-MCP was tested on tomatoes to study its impact on growth and development under the condition of the greenhouse and open field.Seven treatments groups were set up under the condition of the greenhouse.Treatments groups T1,T2 and T3 were sprayed 0.31 ml AF-701 on isolated tomato seedling leaves respectively 7 d,5 d and 2 d before planting to field and were kept under routine management;Treatment group T4 was sprayed 3ml AF – 701 on leaves2 d before planting to field and was kept under routine management;Treatment group T5 was sprayed 0.31 ml AF – 701 on leaves 2 d before planting to field and was not kept under routine management;Sprayed by water,CK1 was kept under routine management after planting to field and CK2 wasn't.Seven treatments groups were also set up under the condition of the open field.Treatments groups T1 and T4 were sprayed 0.2ml AF-701 on isolated tomato seedling leaves 2 d before planting to field and then T1 was kept under routine management after planting to field and T4 wasn't;Treatment group T2 was sprayed4 ml AF-701 on isolated tomato leaves when blooming for the first time and then was kept under routine management;Treatments groups T3 and T5 were sprayed 0.2ml AF-701 on isolated tomato seedling leaves 2 d before planting to field and were sprayed4 ml AF-701 on isolated tomato leaves when blooming for the first time and then T3 was kept under routine management after planting to field and T5 wasn't;Sprayed by water,CK1 was kept under routine management after planting to field and CK2wasn't.1.Under the condition of the greenhouse,spraying 0.31 ml AF-701 dissolved in250 ml water on isolated tomato seedling leaves two days before planting to field can significantly improve the fruit hardness;Two days before engraftment of isolated tomato seedling leaf spraying 3 ml AF-701 dissolved in1000 ml water on isolated tomato seedling leaves two days before planting to field can reduce the fruit hardness.AF-701 can inhibit the synthesis of organic acid showing no significant effect and promote the synthesis nitrate nitrogen.AF-701 tested on tomato seedling leaves with different concentration before planting to field have no significant influence on VC and lycopene,The tomato fruit soluble sugar stimulates synthesis.0.31 ml of tomato seedlings spraying AF-701 can effectively inhibit ethylene synthesis of leaf and fruit,delay fruit respiration peak and reduce ethylene release rate achieve preservationrole.2.Under the open field,AF-701 can promote the synthesis of soluble sugar and lycopene,making a better flavor.Spraying 0.2ml AF-701 dissolved in 100 ml water on tomato seedling leaves two days before planting to field or spraying 4ml AF-701 dissolved in 900 ml water can inhibit the VC content.tomato fruits and leaves of ethylene release rate found in the detection,two days before the engraftment of tomato seedlings spraying 0.2 ml of AF-701 can effectively inhibit ethylene synthesis of leaf and fruit,delay fruit respiration peak and reduce ethylene release rate in order to achieve preservation role.
