As a result, it is really a tough job to change the discordant situation and to make the urban greening construction become the backbone of the economic and social development and provide a better living environment.Based on the well-documented and relevant literature review, combining the existent situation of the virescence maintenance management in Xi’an, the author conducts a comprehensive analysis of the present situation of the virescence maintenance management in Xi’an.In light of the current situation of virescence maintenance management in Xi’an, it is concluded that there is an intimate connection between the virescence maintenance management and the urban greening development. It can be listed in the following. In the first place, Xi’an gives top priority to ecological construction and makes great contributions to urban greening construction, urban ecological improvement and constant urban beautification, which promote social harmony. Besides, there are many deficiencies in city virescence maintenance management, which needs to be improved. The financial support cannot match with the urban greening construction. The personnel salary of virescence maintenance management should increased, which will highly motivate the staff. Additionally, some suggestions on the improvement of city maintenance management are listed as follows: forming a stable ecology system of urban greening space, strictly following the operational rules, conducting the virescence maintenance management well. Last but not the least, it is of vital significance to take actions in plant protection and control, to improve the overall level of maintenance and management professionals, to increase the virescence maintenance personnel wages, to strengthen the laws and regulations in urban greening, to implement the specific virescence management system, to be a water-economic, material-economic, energy-economic, and force-economic garden, and update the previous maintenance management mode.
