Take No.45 of JinMian as the object of this research. The germination rate, the percentage composition of crude fat, the value of SPAD and other indicators were measured. Making a analysis of the temperature variations of nearly 10 years and 2014, in cotton growing season in Yuncheng City to make a comprehensive analysis of effects of temperature on the growth and quality of cotton seed. The results were as follows:1. In a certain range, the increasing of temperature is conducive to the rapid growth and development of cotton boll and increasing boll weight. However, the temperature is too high to stop weight gain, sometimes there will be a drop in weight.. Lower temperature (Below 20?) is not conducive to the accumulation of organic cotton seeds. When temperature is to low to 15?, the boll opening quickly or not opening and cottonseed immature when the temperature is too low.2. The main nutrient accumulation rate is fast and the total amount of nutrients is relatively high of the cottonseed from earlier stage. The highest contents of crude fat and crude protein in cottonseed were 32.76% and 31.79%, respectively. The nutrient accumulation rate is relatively slow, the percentage of empty seed is high and the growth period of cottonseed was prolonged of the cottonseed from later stage.3. The germination rate of cottonseed was 80% or more, the seedlings was uniformity, healthy and strong of the cottonseed from earlier stage. The germination rate is low, more abnormal seedlings, seedling growth is weak and not conducive to the formation of the seedling of the cottonseed from later stage.
